First weekend of summer is here and what plans we have ahead of us. June has been an absolute crazy month with school activities galore, get together with friends (soccer season has started up again) and a quick trip to NB to check up on Gramps!
Matthew is quite the handsome little man. I love watching him and Gabrielle play together - well kind of playing together. He loves to mimic everything that she does and some days it's fine, but there are times she's had enough and you can really see the sibling love come through :-).
He had a doc appointment this month (which should have been at 18 months not 22) but we're catching up. He is now 24.13 lbs and and whopping 89 cms (35 includes for those non converted :-)) We're having lots of fun in the boy aisles at the stores checking out the summer stock. Matthew has the best decked out jammies out there!
He's working on his vocabulary. "hot" (with no sound) "Whatsdat", "Nananana" and "Noooo" are his most freqent right now. Check out the video of him saying No...too cute!
Gabrielle is growing like a weed with another inch on her since March. She was so very proud to show us her Math and Writing books from school "they are a beautiful thing!" She's got half of her alphabet in cursive writing down pat, her written numbers up to 7 and she's even started on her equations - can you believe it! Kudos to the teachers at the school! Everyone is a rockstar there, including our G!
We hit the summer off with a blast including a year end Picnic with the school. We had great fun extending the picnic at home with Cooper and Owen. Love to see that these 4 are still close and having fun! We then took off for the 1st weekend of summer to the US for some cross boarder shopping and 2 whole nights at Great Wolf Lodge. Lots of fun had by all. Be sure to ask Joe about the Whooly Mamoth ride :-) We love you Daddy!
Wishing everyone a great summer (and speedy recoveries for Nanny, Gramps, Grampy Tim and Great Nana Pat!) We love you all very much xoxo
