Gabrielle & Matthew

August 2007

Gabrielle survived her first road trip to NB (and so did Mommy and Daddy) We can now officially give her the "car girl" award. We travelled straight through (14 hours later)to Granny and Grampy D's but suffered that night with the consequences so quickly changed plans for the way home.

Gabrielle is also the youngest of the Doucette clan to experience the adventures of Trouser Lake Lodge. She had her first peach (and not from a jar) which for anyone out there, peach juice stains so watch out. We had great fun watching her play, giggle and have fun with the entire family. We quickly found out that she can sleep through a backhoe and 4 playful boy cousins who entertained her the entire trip.

We then headed down south to Nana and Gramps Moran, where she had her first swim in the big pool (check out video). Nana and Gramps also had some fun creating a beautiful purple room just for her which you could tell she was very excited about. We also found out that pears are her absolute favourite fruit, watermelon fits in the middle, but bananas are not liked at all. Again, lots of visitors, but smiles for everyone and laughs for those who are extra special.

Many thanks to everyone! We all had a fabulous vacation and look forward to seeing everyone again in November...xo

Brenda:  Hi there, I know that you do not know me, but I am Tim's Cousin Brenda. I am sure that Tim's Mom & Dad have mentioned me before, infact, I spent a week with them before they went to the lake with the whole family. I live in Windsor, Ontario & Aunt Lilly & Uncle Gabe are like parents to me & Tim is like a brother. I would love to be able to continue to check out Gabrielle's site if that is ok with you. What I have seen thus far is something else. She is a real sweetheart. Now I know how come Aunt Lilly & Uncle Gabe love her so much. It is NOT hard to love a sweet face like that. Also, if it is possible & ok with both of you, could I get the Access code to be able to write in the guestbook. I look forward to hearing back from you. Till then, give the baby a kiss for me & take care. Your distant cousin...Brenda

Wow, 6 month mark already, we really can't believe how fast time is flying by. Gabrielle is learning so much these days. She can recognize the words "shake", "cat" and "daddy" It should be interesting to hear what her first word will be...

We've been introducing orange/yellow veggies and so far so good (except for those wax beans) We'll really test who's taste buds she's got when we turn to green veggies today.

The teething fairy is upon us, but have only had a few mood flare ups and some discomfort. Nothing can be seen or felt, so we might just be in the early stages of teething.

We're headed to NB this weekend and look forward to visiting with everyone. See you soon...xo
