April showers has brought May flowers, but it's still raining! Record breaking water all over Canada this year and it's not stopping anytime soon.
What agreat month! Lots going on both at school, work and home! Matthew is growing like a weed and is giong to be the comic of the family. He's sensitive, loving little guy.
He was trying to settle one night and having difficulty. After several visits up and seeing everything was ok - we let him gab it out for the night. Doing my rounds before bed 2 hours later, I found Matthew stripped naked in his bed! I guess when you're not tired and have nothing to do...was impressed everything was still dry and he was soo pooped out, we put his diaper and jammies back on without him even waking up! Too cute!
Lots of boogers still and I swear he's had a perpetual cold since Jan 4th - that's a lot of running for a little nose like his. Still a huge lover of animals - all different kinds. He loves to pick out animals in his books and make the sounds. Books have to be his absolute favourite activity other than copying everying that G is currently doing. Whether is taking the steps with no hands or eating their lunch in a crazy way - he's a little mimic!
Lots of playing together. Check out the video of the two of them playing horsey. Not sure who was giggling louder.
Gabrielle is doing well too. Loves to write, draw family members and she's just getting into Math puzzles. Joe and her have great thing going with puzzles. She's had an unbelievable growth spurt again - it's gotta be all this rain. She's skipped size 5 altogether and in a 6. I had to go shopping for clothes in the big girl section - unbelievable!
We had an adventure together on Mother's Day weekend. We had sightings of a racoon and decided to pull the shed floorboards up to see if we had uninvited guests again (last year we had a family of skunks) Low and behold Mama Racoon left and climbed a tree when Joe started all the racket and we pulled 4 baby racoons out. Definitely getting the Mommy of the year award breaking up this cute family - but no more kritters please!! The shed is coming down and we'll relocated the lawnmower - jeepers!
They both recently had their spring concert at school and they were just too precious! You have to take a peak at the videos and see them in action. Quite the superstars.
May gave us the chance to also head home to NB for the long weekend and see everyone. Gabrielle and Matthew got spoiled at Grampy Tim's and Aunt Beth even had the horsies out. Uncle Jamie and Aunt Chrissy certainly were on the top favourite listing. The pony rides at the fair had nothing on Rosa! It was great seeing the kiddies all together having fun - now to get them back down to deprogram them to being back home.
Wishing everyone a wonderful spring - bring on the summer weather! Hugs and kisses to everyone -xoxoxo
